The DOT's Inspector General has released its report on the
massive air travel disruptions that plagued both Comair and US
Airways over the Christmas holidays. Here's reaction from
Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta to the IG
report, issued Wednesday afternoon.
Comair pilots have decided to take one in the wallet, a two-year
wage freeze that will free up company cash for the purchase of 35
new aircraft and allow Comair to take a bigger role in the affairs
of parent company Delta Airlines.
Embraer delivered its 900th jet of the ERJ 145 family to
European customer Luxair today. The handover ceremony of the
carrier's second ERJ 135 jet took place at the headquarters of
Embraer in Sao Jose dos Campos, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
