Letter To British Government Says Full-Body Scanners May
Counter European Law
The U.K's Equality and Human Rights Commission has
warned the British Government that it needs to take immediate
action to bring its policy for body scanning passengers at UK
airports within the law.
The number of scheduled domestic and international passengers on
U.S. airlines in November 2009 increased by 1.6 percent from
November 2008, increasing by 0.8 million to 54.9 million, the
Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics
(BTS) reported Tuesday.
A British Airways flight from London to Mexico turned back over
the Atlantic Ocean Friday when a questions came up about one of the
passengers on board.
American Airlines Will Be The First To Fly Into
Port-au-Prince
American Airlines says it will resume regular scheduled service
into Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Friday, the first carrier to do so.
Commercial airliners stopped flying into the airport when a
magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the island nation January 12th.
Southwest Airlines has responded to Hollywood director Kevin
Smith, who was removed from a flight from Oakland to Burbank, CA,
after he had boarded and been seated. The airline told Smith he was
too large for the single middle seat on the airplane.
