On Saturday, February 19, a British Airways flight took off LAX
with 351 pax and crew. Shortly after takeoff, with the aircraft not
more than 100 feet over the ground, controllers notified the pilot
that a shower of sparks could be seen coming out of one of the
engines.
Europe's second largest airline, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, is
considering filing a lawsuit to seek redress for the losses it says
it incurred due to President Bush's recent visit to Frankfurt.
