Boeing 787 Dreamliner Program Completes Static Test Analysis, Gauntlet Tests

Boeing completed the review and analysis of the November 30th static test on Thursday, validating the side-of-body modification made to the 787 Dreamliner. "I am happy to report that the program has validated the airplane structure for the 787 Dreamliner," said Scott Fancher, VP and general manager of the program.

UAL Will Ask Embraer To Bid On Narrow Body Jets

Replacements Sought For Older Aircraft On The Heels Of Wide Body Order 

Word is that United Airlines will invite Embraer to submit a bid for new narrow body jets, a domain normally reserved for Boeings' 737 and the Airbus A320. We are going to invite Embraer into that competition," UAL Chief Executive Glenn Tilton said in an interview.
