Leasing company Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has signed a commitment for 35 737 MAX airplanes and its firm order for 20 Next-Generation 737-800s. The Newport Beach, CA.-based ACG is the first airplane leasing company to announce a commitment to the 737 MAX.

Alaska Airlines Technicians Ratify New Five-Year Contract

Deal Includes Pay Raises, Job Protection, Bonuses

Alaska Airlines and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) announced that the carrier's 626 aircraft technicians and related employees have ratified a new five-year contract. The agreement includes annual pay raises, additional job protection provisions, a long-term contract bonus, and a shared commitment between Alaska Airlines and AMFA to work on minimizing health-care cost increases.

When a Comtel charter flight from Amritsar, India to Britain landed in Vienna, where the airline is based, for fuel, the passengers got a bit of a rude awakening. The airline said the passengers in transit were going to have to pay for the fuel to continue the trip.
