Connecticut AG Asks For Review Of Court Of Appeals
Decision
Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal filed a formal
petition Tuesday seeking a review by the U.S. Supreme Court of a
Court of Appeals ruling allowing flight path changes over the
state. The new routes will send more large aircraft over the
southwestern part of Connecticut.
Embraer, General Electric, and Amyris announced the signing,
today, of a Memorandum of Understanding to evaluate the technical
and sustainability aspects of Amyris’ No Compromise renewable
jet fuel.
InFO Issued On What May Be Stowed In Airliner Seat Pockets
The FAA has issued an "Information for Operators" (InFO) in an
effort to eliminate some confusion about what items passengers may
or may not stow in the seat back pockets in airliners. The FAA says
the intent of the carry-on baggage regulation is to prevent
carry-on items from slowing an emergency evacuation.
The village of Bensenville near Chicago's O'Hare International
Airport has been fighting a plan to extend runways at the major hub
for decades, but Tuesday the village said it was dropping it's
legal challenges, clearing a major hurdle in the $15 billion
expansion plan.
