Monday, the FAA issued its 152-page proposal outlining vapor
reduction methods intended to reduce the likelihood of a fuel tank
explosion similar to that believed to have brought down TWA 800 in
July 1996.
With the overall decline in the availability of inflight meals
on domestic flights, perhaps this was a natural -- last week the
flight crew aboard an AirTran aircraft grabbed a Wendy's order to
go, without ever leaving the cockpit.
