AerCap Signs $400 Million Credit Facility For 12 Boeing 737-800s

Aircraft To Be Leased To American Airlines

AerCap Holdings said Monday that it has signed a new $400 million credit facility with a ten year term to provide long term financing for 12 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft will be leased to American Airlines and form part of AerCap's previously announced transaction with American Airlines for the purchase and leaseback of 35 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Schumer Calls For Senate Probe Of Flight Safety Rules

Questions Missing E-Mails Concerning Colgan 3407 Pilot's Qualifications During NTSB Investigation

U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) has sent a personal letter to the chair of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation, Maria Cantwell (D-WA), asking for a hearing to evaluate progress implementing aviation safety reforms. He also asks that the hearing examine the implications of newly released emails that were not available during the initial crash investigation.
