CAE Awarded Contracts For Four Full-Flight Simulators

Contracts Valued At C$55 Million

CAE says it has sold four Level D full-flight simulators (FFS) including a Boeing 777-300ER to Cathay Pacific Airways, an Airbus A320 to the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence, an Airbus A330 FFS to Lufthansa Flight Training GmBh and a Boeing 777-300ER to an undisclosed customer. Cathay Pacific also ordered a CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer (IPT).

American Airlines has announced that it will cut its capacity three percent more than it forecast in January this year, retiring 11 of its Boeing 757s, but not just because of falling demand or fuel efficiency concerns. The airline says its pilots are choosing to retire in numbers way beyond expectations.
