Air Lease Corporation, a new aircraft leasing company led by
Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, has firmed up an order with Boeing for as
many as 60 Next-Generation 737 narrow body aircraft.

Organizers of a Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
program called Team Care say it has helped more than 750 families
who have children with life-threatening illnesses as they traveled
through Orlando International Airport (MCO) during the past
year.
The final Dreamliner to join the flight test fleet made its
first flight Monday from Paine Field in Everett, Wash. The
airplane, ZA006, is the second 787 equipped with General Electric
GEnx engines to fly.

The FAA has established procedures requiring 10 miles of
separation between Boeing's 787 and 747-8 airplanes and aircraft
departing or landing behind them. The minimum en-route spacing
behind one of Boeing's new airplanes is set at five miles.
Up To 20 Positions Being Brought Back From Overseas
A GE facility in Loves Park, IL which makes bleed valves for
aircraft engines will see a return of about 20 jobs that had been
outsourced overseas. The move is due to a law passed five years ago
by Congress which gives companies a tax break for manufacturing
components in the United States.
