With the announcement of about a six month delay in the first
deliveries of Boeing's new 747-8 freighter, some engineering
analysts are saying that the planemaker is suffering from cultural
issues stemming from budgetary constraints.
Continental Airlines announced Thursday that it has reached a
tentative agreement on a new labor contract with the International
Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) representing
Continental flight attendants. The IAM is expected to hold a
ratification vote in the coming weeks.
