Two Men Accused Of Carrying Airport IDs When They Shouldn't
Have
Two former contractors for the Australian flag carrier, Qantas,
have been charged with illegally carrying Aviation Security
Identification Cards at Sydney Airport Tuesday. Qantas found out
and immediately reported the incident to Australian Federal
Police.
Airlines Wouldn't Be Covered If Hit By Certain Types Of
Terrorism
European insurance carriers are threatening to leave European
air carriers in the lurch if they're attacked -- or used in attacks
-- by terrorists who employ biological, chemical or nuclear
weapons. If insurers follow through with that threat, civil
aviation in Europe would be wide open to financial loss in the case
of a "dirty bomb" attack.
Through the wonders of the global market, two companies with a
common parent -- the European Aerospace Defence & Space Co.,
which also owns 80 percent of Airbus SAS -- have been contracted to
provide parts for Airbus archrival Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner.
