Volvo Aero has agreed with General Electric Company (GE) to
increase Volvo Aero's participation in GE's new engine, the GEnx.
Volvo Aero will manufacture additional components in the
engine.
Atlasjet of Istanbul, Turkey has signed a firm order for three
90-seat Bombardier CRJ900 regional jet airliners and has taken
options on two additional CRJ900 aircraft.
The pilots of Comair, as represented by the Air Line Pilots
Association, Int'l. (ALPA), have ratified a concessionary labor
agreement, by a narrow 50.57 percent in favor, which will provide
an annual savings of $17.3 million to bankrupt Comair Airlines, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.
