Blakey: Plan Is A "Ray Of Hope For A Better Future"
Aerospace Industries Association president Marion Blakey issued
a statement Thursday welcoming NASA's announcement of its Space
Launch System development plan, which it is hoped will provide the
foundation for a return to human-rated launch capabilities
following the retirement of the space shuttle.
Agency Selects Contractors For Solar Propulsion Spacecraft
NASA has selected five long-time aerospace contractors to
develop concepts for demonstrating solar electric propulsion in
space. NASA says these capabilities are important for the agency's
future human exploration missions to deep space.
