STS-125 Now Scheduled For Liftoff October 10; STS-126, November

Confirming what may NASA-watchers saw as a likelihood, on Friday
the space agency announced the adjustment of the target launch
dates for the two remaining space shuttle missions in 2008. Shuttle
Atlantis' STS-125 mission to the Hubble Space Telescope is now
targeted for October 10, while Endeavour's STS-126 supply mission
to the International Space Station has moved to November 12.
Rocket Racer Flies Record Seven Times In Four Days
The Rocket Racer has some serious flight time under its wings.
The Rocket Racing League announced Thursday the successful results
of the first seven test flights of the Bridenstine DKNY Rocket
Racer conducted at the Oklahoma Spaceport (OKSP) in Burns Flat.
Aimed At Reducing Risks In Service On Manned Capsule
Aerojet tells ANN it successfully completed a hot-fire testing
program of NASA's Orion Crew Module's 160 lb. thrust
mono-propellant engine. Test program objectives were met by
demonstrating pulse mode operation of the engine at expected Orion
flight conditions.

conductivity probe has sensed humidity rising and falling beside
the Phoenix lander... but when stuck into the ground, its
measurements so far indicate soil that is thoroughly and
perplexingly dry.
Ken Till Spent Over 40 Years In Aerospace Industry
The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum announced Thursday
that Aerospace Industry Veteran, Ken Till, has been appointed to
the position of Director of Operations at the recently-opened
