NASA has named Robert M. Lightfoot, Jr., as the director of
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. Lightfoot
had served as the acting director of the center since March.

NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD this month
made available to scientists the first unit of an expanded high-end
computing system that will serve as the centerpiece of a new
climate simulation capability.
