NASA announced Thursday its aeronautics competition for high
school and college students during the 2007-2008 academic year.
Students are asked to imagine and write an essay or design a next
generation aircraft that could join the commercial fleet in
2058.
NASA's Mission Management Team has determined a gouge on the
underside of the space shuttle Endeavour will not need to be
repaired before the orbiter returns to Earth next week.
Boeing announced this week it successfully sent and
received the first on-orbit commands from the Boeing-built Spaceway
3 satellite following a successful launch of the spacecraft. All
data shows Spaceway 3 is healthy and operating normally.
