Three hours ago, NASA began the countdown for the launch
of Space Shuttle Atlantis on mission STS-115, at the T-minus 43
hour point. During this mission, Atlantis' crew will resume the
construction of the International Space Station -- the goal of the
remaining space shuttle flights in the program.

You could almost say it was written in the stars. Well, that's a
bit trite, but there's no denying that fate smiled on Anousheh
Ansari, who was selected Tuesday to replace Daisuke Enomoto as the
next "space tourist".
Aero-News learned this week the Personal Spaceflight Federation
(PSF) -- an organization comprised of private, public and
non-profit organizations working to make commercial human
spaceflight a reality -- has announced new members, a new slate of
officers, and a new Chairman... all as the PSF continues to bolster
support for the burgeoning commercial human spaceflight
industry.
This Thanksgiving will witness an event of unprecedented
scientific discovery and innovation aboard the International Space
Station... one that will no doubt advance the cause of all
humankind for ages to come. That's right... there WILL be golfing
outside the ISS.
