White Paper On Low Earth Orbit Policy Delivered To White
House
Enabling the development of commercial crew and cargo
transportation to the International Space Station is the central
recommendation of a policy paper submitted by members of the
Commercial Spaceflight Federation to the Review of U.S. Human Space
Flight Plans Committee, also known as the Augustine Committee.
NASA and Japan released a new digital topographic map of Earth
Monday that covers more of our planet than ever before. The map was
produced with detailed measurements from NASA's Terra spacecraft.
The new global digital elevation model of Earth was created from
nearly 1.3 million individual stereo-pair images.
