Fourteen Undergraduate Student Teams From Minority Institutions To Fly Their Experiments
NASA has selected 14 undergraduate student teams from minority serving institutions across the United States to test science experiments under microgravity conditions. The experiments will fly Nov. 1-8, as part of a collaborative effort between the agency's Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP) and the Reduced Gravity Education Flight Project.
After spending six months learning and communicating via the web, 170 rising high school seniors from across Virginia will finish an intensive aerospace education program by planning a mission to Mars during week-long summer academies at NASA Langley Research Center.
