Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp, Chair of the Space Florida Board of
Directors, conducted a Special Board of Directors Meeting via
teleconference to nominate and vote on an interim president to
serve at Space Florida. With a quorum present, the Board
unanimously approved Frank DiBello to serve in this capacity while
a permanent president is identified.
NASA's rover project team is using the Spirit rover and other
spacecraft at Mars to begin developing the best maneuvers for
extracting Spirit from the soft Martian ground where it has become
embedded.
