International Launch Services (ILS) got off a successful launch,
over the weekend, carrying the Indostar II/Protostar II satellite
into orbit. This marks the second commercial mission of the year
for ILS and the fourth successful Proton launch of 2009. The May
16th launch comes on the heels of the milestone 50th ILS Proton
launch on April 3rd.
Amazing Effort Does Not Come Without Complications
STS-125 mission specialists Mike Massimino and Mike Good
completed the mission’s fourth spacewalk Sunday at 5:47 p.m.
EDT. The spacewalkers continued repairs and improvements to the
Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) that will extend the
Hubble’s life into the next decade.
