NASA Seeking University Participants For Summer Rocket Workshop

Week-Long Program Set For Mid-June

University faculty and students are invited to join a week-long workshop June 16-21 to learn how to build and launch a scientific experiment to space. Registration is open through May 1. RockOn! 2012 will be held at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The annual workshop is held in partnership with the Colorado and Virginia Space Grant Consortia.

Trial To Begin in Intelligent Design Discrimination Lawsuit

Complaint Filed Against NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab

A trial is set to begin this week in a lawsuit over whether NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) unlawfully discriminated against an employee for discussing the scientific theory of intelligent design (ID) at work, according to the Discovery Institute. The jury trial is set to begin Wednesday, March 7.

NASA Gives New Task Order To Moon Express

Adds To Company's Portion Of A $10M Commercial Lunar Data Contract

Moon Express, a Google Lunar X PRIZE contender, said Monday it has won an additional task order from NASA under its Innovative Lunar Demonstration Data (ILDD) Program contract. The newest task order in the $10M ILDD contract calls for Moon Express to provide NASA with data about the company's progress through a Preliminary Design Checkpoint Technical Package.
