In a major step toward reducing reliance on a ground-based
navigation infrastructure, the FAA has announced that
Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) use is being extended from the
current 250 feet above an airport’s surface to 200 feet for
vertical instrument approaches.
The "Paravize, Head-on" is a portable, self-contained, camera
driven, collision avoidance device intended to be placed on top of
the glare-shield of a GA aircraft to assist the pilot in spotting
potentially dangerous traffic.
Entering the homestretch of a half-year mission, International
