Canadian Space Agency Salutes Three Decades Of Industry

Canadarm, which many consider to be Canada's national icon of
technological innovation, made its space debut on the U.S. Space
Shuttle on November 13, 1981. Designed to deploy and retrieve space
payloads, the robotic arm quickly became a critical element in the
Space Shuttle Program. It worked flawlessly for 90 Shuttle
missions.
Agency Moves To Implement Deep Space Exploration Plan
NASA plans to add an unmanned flight test of the Orion
spacecraft in early 2014 to its contract with Lockheed Martin Space
Systems for the multi-purpose crew vehicle's design, development,
test and evaluation. This test supports the new Space Launch System
(SLS) that will provide the cornerstone for America's future human
spaceflight efforts.
NASA Wants To Protect Footprints, Among Other Things
It seems incredible to be saying this, but it won't be long
until private citizens are traveling in space, and NASA is
suggesting there should be protections against tourists spoiling
the historic landing sites of the six Apollo missions which went to
the Moon between 1969 and 1972.
