Successful Test Ushers In A New Era Of Launch Vehicles
In what appeared to be a flawless launch, the 327-foot Ares 1-X
rocket thundered away from the launch pad at 1130 EDT Wednesday,
marking the first time a new vehicle has launched from the complex
since the first space shuttle launch in 1981.

Northwest Florida region is destined to become a world-class home
for new aviation and aerospace jobs.
Will Perform Earth Science Missions For NASA, NOAA
NASA and Northrop Grumman Corporation announced the initial
flight of a Global Hawk UAS to be used for environmental science
research Tuesday. NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and Northrop
Grumman are returning NASA's two Global Hawk aircraft to flight
under a Space Act Agreement signed in 2008.
