NASA's Kepler mission confirmed the discovery of its first rocky
planet, named Kepler-10b. Measuring 1.4 times the size of Earth, it
is the smallest planet ever discovered outside our solar
system.
Giffords Strongly Supportive Of The Aerospace Industry
The shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D) in
Tuscon over the weekend has sent a shockwave through much of the
aerospace industry. Giffords was severely injured, and several
others, including a federal judge, were killed.
Initial Fixes Finished By Tuesday, But Additional Work May Be
Required
Technicians at NASA's Kennedy Space Center continue to repair
cracks on space shuttle Discovery's external fuel tank in the
Vehicle Assembly Building. Repair work will continue through
Tuesday.
