On Wednesday, NASA issued a request for proposals for concept
definition and requirements analysis support for the Altair lunar
lander. Proposals are due to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston
by 2:00 pm CST on February 27.
Student rocket teams are preparing their launch vehicles for
qualification flights in the opening round of the world's largest
rocket contest. A total of 653 teams from 45 states and the
District of Columbia have registered for the 2009 Team America
Rocketry Challenge, the seventh installment of the annual
competition.
NASA is giving everyone the opportunity to use the world's most
celebrated telescope to explore the heavens and boldly look where
the Hubble Space Telescope has never looked before.

The Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RNASA)
Foundation's National Board of Advisors recently selected former
NASA Administrator Michael D. Griffin to receive its highest honor,
the National Space Trophy. The award has been presented annually
for the past 23 years to an individual who has excelled in
furthering national goals in the field of space.
