NetJets Announces Largest Private Aviation Order In History

Purchase From Bombardier And Cessna Totals $9.6 Billion

In the largest aircraft purchase in private aviation history, NetJets Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced Monday it will add up to 425 new aircraft to its worldwide fleet under purchase agreements with Cessna and Bombardier. The transaction has a total value of $9.6 billion and launches the new NetJets Signature Series of aircraft.

Kenyan Officials Fatally Injured In Helicopter Accident

Eurocopter Carrying Internal Security Minister, His Assistant, Four Others Down Near Nairobi

Two Kenyan government officials were fatally injured Sunday along with four others when the Eurocopter AS 350B3e they were aboard went down in a forest near Nairobi. Kenyan officials have confirmed that Security Minister George Saitoti and his assistant Orwa Ojode were aboard the plane. Also fatally injured in the accident were the pilot, Capt. Nancy Gituanja and crewman Luke Oyugi, as well as police officers Thomas Murimi and Joshua Tonkei.
