Embraer Executive Jets Sells Lineage 1000

Undisclosed European Client Is The Airplane's Buyer

Embraer Executive Jets has sold an ultra-large Lineage 1000, to an undisclosed European client, operated by FLYINGGROUP. The sale was announced Tuesday at the 13th European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE). The aircraft, the first Lineage 1000 sale to a customer in Belgium, will join the Belgium-based company’s fleet and will be available for third-party charter. Delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for the second half of 2013.

“We are especially honored by the confidence of the client and FLYINGGROUP in selecting Embraer Executive Jets and by choosing our Lineage 1000 to expand its business aircraft fleet in the ultra-large category,” said Ernest Edwards, President, Embraer Executive Jets.  “Being the first to operate the Lineage 1000 from Belgium, FLYINGGROUP will provide its customers with the optimum in comfort offering a stylish cabin within five zones.”

“We are delighted to introduce the Lineage 1000, which boasts a cabin volume up to two-and-a-half times larger than traditional corporate jets in this category,” said Bernard van Milders  CEO of FLYINGGROUP. “The aircraft will join our fleet to complete our current aircraft portfolio and will allow us to offer for the first time an ultra-large aircraft which definitely meets our customers’ expectations.”

The Lineage 1000 is the flagship of Embraer Executive Jets’ seven-aircraft portfolio.  As the only business jet in its category providing up to 19 passengers with five distinct and spacious cabin zones, the Lineage 1000 is the ultimate in comfort and state-of-the-art technology to facilitate work or rest in flight. Onboard amenities may include a queen-size bed, en-suite shower and complete audio and entertainment systems. A pressurized walk-in aft baggage area, which is the largest in its category, is conveniently accessible throughout the flight. It is equipped with an advanced avionics suite, auto-throttle and a fly-by-wire flight control system, which provide pilots a highly intuitive and professional cockpit for safe and smooth trips. It also includes the optional Embraer Enhanced Vision System E2VS.

The Lineage 1000’s range of 4,400 nautical miles affords such nonstop flights as Moscow to New York, with eight passengers and NBAA IFR fuel reserves. It can also achieve missions such as Geneva to Dubai with 19 passengers with NBAA IFR reserves. In addition, with the ability to serve London City Airport, the Lineage 1000 affords customers non-stop service to Moscow, Istanbul, Cairo or the Canary Islands, or one stop, to Los Angeles, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
