Brings Extensive Industry Experience To FBO Management

Hawker Beechcraft Services announced Monday the appointment of Fred Zimbelman as general manager of the Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) Wichita facility. He will be responsible for overseeing aircraft maintenance, avionics and modifications as well as FBO operations at the Wichita facility.

His work history began with 16 years at Sundstrand Aviation Operations, holding positions from F-16 repair program manager, group supervisor for Overhaul and Repair, and senior sales and marketing representative for Repair Services. He also worked for Nordam Group as director of customer administration and later as director of Customer Service.

HBS personnel tell ANN most recently, Zimbelman served as president for Soundair Repair Group LLC and Soundair Design and Development Group LLC in Woodinville, WA. During his tenure with these organizations, Zimbelman implemented many new programs focused on improving customer support and services.

"Fred’s expertise and experience in supporting the customer makes him the ideal person to lead our Wichita facility and grow our capabilities and services," said Bill Brown, president of Global Customer Service and Support. "His commitment to customer service and satisfaction supports our Performance Promise, to provide quality, world-class service for our aircraft owners and operators."
