IMC Club Launches 'Knowledge Drive'

Goal Is To Develop A Database Of 'Real-Life' Answers To Instrument Flying Questions

IMC Club International announced the launch of "Knowledge Drive" Monday in its Aviation Knowledge Base available on the imcclubs.org website. The "Knowledge Drive" created by the IMC Club is design as a library of a "real life" type questions and answers for the General Aviation pilot population. Every question is routed to a Certificated Flight Instructor for an answer which subsequently is recorded in the database. All questions being asked are screened automatically for availability of the subject already answered.

"This database is question driven not textbook driven. Safety and proficiency through exchange of experience is one of our primary objectives of the IMC Club. Practical aspects of a flight are as important, if not more so, as any textbook knowledge. I hope this free knowledge source for pilots and student pilots alike will grow by knowledge contribution of many experienced instructors as well as pilots wanting to know more," said Radek Wyrzykowski, President of IMC Club.

This IMC Club initiative is sponsored exclusively by BrightLine Bags, Inc. Flight bag. This bag, initially introduced to the market in 2007, has now become the number-one-selling flight bag in the United States, and is used by recreational, commercial and military pilots in 65 countries world-wide. Pilots asking questions, and therefore helping in populating of this innovative "Aviation Knowledge Base" project, will be automatically entered in a drawing for a free BrightLine flight bag. Drawing will take place on June 11, 2011. All participants will also receive a coupon for substantial discount from BrightLine Aviation. Pilots can enter the contest by asking as many aviation related questions as they want therefore increasing their chances to win a free BrightLine Bag.

The IMC Club is a membership based Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation. IMC Club intent is to create a community of pilots in order to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety and build proficiency in instrument flying.
