King Air C90GT, Baron G58, Premier I Bizjet Also On Display

A special edition 60th Anniversary Beechcraft Bonanza G36 will highlight Hawker Beechcraft Corporation's exhibit at this year's Lakeland Fly-In, set to get underway next week. Joining the Bonanza will be a Beechcraft Baron G58, Beechcraft King Air C90GT and Beechcraft Premier IA.

The optional 60th Anniversary special edition of the 2007 Beechcraft Bonanza G36 comes with a variety of handsomely appointed accoutrements designed to exemplify the extraordinary history of the airplane. The entire aircraft sidewall has been redesigned for more space and comfort while the armrest has been transformed from traditional into a modern, stylish and harmonious contour. Molded into the side of the aircraft, maximum width has been accomplished with the addition of up to three inches of elbow room for absolute comfort.

The exterior preserves the Bonanza legacy while advancing technology and design with specially formulated paints. The 60th Anniversary stripe design includes Matterhorn White and Anniversary Diamond in combination with Anniversary Topaz, Anniversary Onyx, Anniversary Sapphire, Anniversary Ruby or Anniversary Agate. The Anniversary stripe colors are highlighted by the gleam of a polished aluminum (Anniversary Diamond) look.

Representatives with Hawker Beechcraft note the Bonanza is the only aircraft in history to remain in continuous production for 60 years. 

The Bonanza's bigger brother, the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron G58 will also be on display. Both aircraft feature Garmin G1000 avionics suites including the new Garmin GFC 700TM autopilot. These aircraft are the first applications of the fully integrated avionics system in piston engine aircraft. The combined package provides improved situational awareness, increased functionality, and reduced pilot workload. More than 6,000 Beechcraft Barons and 18,000 Beechcraft Bonanzas have been built and delivered.

Joining the Baron and Bonanza will be the Beechcraft King Air C90GT. An evolution of the Beechcraft King Air C90B, the King Air C90GT delivers a 25-knot increase in max cruise speed and up to a 50 percent reduction in the time needed to reach its certified ceiling of 30,000 ft. The King Air C90GT is also able to complete missions into shorter runways not accessible by jets. With at least a 50 percent larger cabin volume than the largest VLJ, passengers can travel with safety, comfort and ease, while having easy, in-flight access to a large baggage area. A fully enclosed, private lavatory provides necessary facilities.

The Beechcraft Premier IA is the largest, fastest single-pilot business jet in the world. It features a high-strength composite, carbon fiber/epoxy/honeycomb fuselage, produced by computer-controlled, automated machines, giving the aircraft a medium-jet sized cabin at light jet acquisition and operating costs. The powerplants are Williams International FJ44-2A engines that are built on themes of simplicity, low fuel consumption, and high-altitude thrust performance. Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics includes IFIS with total system integration and instrument placement designed to make single-pilot operation easy, simple and safe.
