Combines Avidyne Glass, STEC Autopilot With Proven
Airframe
Avidyne Corporation and American Aviation of Brooksville, FL
announced this week the completion of American's third Alliant
Integrated Flight Deck Retrofit in a Beechcraft King Air 200-Series
twin-engine turboprop aircraft.
"Updating the timeless King Air with the Alliant system takes
one of the best airplanes ever made and makes it better." John
Petrick, president of American Aviation. "King Air 200 owners
get the enhanced safety and utility of large, dual-redundant
primary flight displays plus S-TEC's high performance digital
autopilot in one truly beautiful avionics panel that's widely
recognized across the industry as the easiest to learn and he
easiest to use."
"After initial certification of the system, American Aviation
was our first avionics dealer to retrofit a 3-display Entegra
system into a King Air, and they have now completed their third
Alliant system," said Rob Higby, Avidyne's vice president of Sales,
Marketing, and Customer Service. "The Alliant package enables King
Air 200 owners to update their aircraft with state-of-the-art
situational awareness and safety tools at a fraction of the cost of
a new aircraft, and American Aviation is quickly becoming a go-to
dealer for Alliant King Air installations with all of the
experience and expertise that they bring."
The Alliant Integrated Flight Deck package includes
dual-redundant Avidyne Entegra EXP5000 10.4" primary flight
displays (PFDs) and an EX5000 multi-function display (MFD), the
S-TEC IntelliFlight 2100 digital autopilot and Mid-Continent
two-inch standby instruments. The system interfaces with most
popular traffic, terrain, lightning, radar and radar altimeter
systems. In addition, the Alliant package comes with Avidyne's
exclusive CMax™ electronic charts and MultiLink™
support.
The companies say the Alliant system enhances aircraft value as
the full retail value of the system can be added to the Aircraft
Blue Book value. It is the ideal upgrade for modernizing the
workhorse of air charter and business aviation operations.
