NV Helicopter Operator Takes Delivery Of First Trailer Sim From Frasca

Six Units To Be Delivered To Locations Around The Country

Aero-News has learned that Silver State Helicopters, headquartered in North Las Vegas, NV has taken delivery of the first of six Frasca TruFlite HTM helicopter simulator equipped trailers at their facility in Spring, TX. Two additional simulator equipped trailers will be delivered to facilities in San Diego, CA and New Branfels, TX, and the remaining three will be delivered to other locations in the near future.

The trailer units will be used for pilot training at various locations as needed.

Silver State Helicopters has ordered a total of twenty-two TruFlite HTM simulators from Frasca International, Urbana, IL since the launch of the device in 2003. Eighteen of the devices have been delivered. The TruFlite HTM utilizes Frasca’s TruFliteTM technology, making it reconfigurable between three single engine piston helicopter models; the Robinson R22, Robinson R44 and Schweizer 300 which are used for flight training.

The devices feature a two seat cockpit, interchangeable cyclics (Robinson T-bar and conventional style), Frasca’s digital sound system, and TruVisionTM single channel projected visual system.

Silver State Helicopters operates at over twenty locations in ten states. They are a full service commercial helicopter operator specializing in Aerial Tours, Aerial Photography, Executive Charters, Law Enforcement Air Support, Fire Fighting, Search and Rescue, Motion Picture and Television Support, External Load Lifting and Utility Work, Agriculture Support and Flight Training.

Pilots are trained to the most rigorous standards and put to work operating American made helicopters from an extensive fleet made up of Bell, MD and Robinson aircraft.

Frasca International manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, Universities and military organizations worldwide.
