Australia's Heliflite Signs For Eight AgustaWestland Helos

Deal Announced At Australian International Airshow

AgustaWestland told ANN Wednesday that Australian operator Heliflite Pty Ltd signed a contract recently for eight new helicopters, including the AW119 Ke light single, the A109 Power, the Grand light twin and the AW139 medium twin. This contract, signed during the Australian International Airshow, is part of an existing multi-year contract and distribution agreement between AgustaWestland and Heliflite.

Based at Bankstown Airport, Heliflite provides complete helicopter service to customers -- including sales, servicing, spare parts and pilot training. The company has been a major part of the Australian helicopter market for 30 years, according to AgustaWestland representatives.

Heliflite has expanded its helicopter range to include the single-engine AW119 Ke through to the 6.4 ton 15-seat AW139, which the company says is the world's best selling medium twin-engine helicopter on the market. Heliflite is also responsible for selling and supporting the A109 Power and the recently introduced Grand, both of which are achieving growing sales success in the light twin market in Australia and worldwide, according to the company.

Heliflite is the AgustaWestland Authorized Service Centre in Australia. Heliflite is now expanding its support services for AgustaWestland helicopter operators in Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand with the establishment of service centres in Brisbane, Australia, and in Auckland, New Zealand, which will add to the existing one located at Bankstone Airport.
