Things Ya Can't Fly With, Part One: Liquid Leads To Pax Pulled From Flight

Repeat After Me: NO LIQUIDS ALLOWED In Carryon Baggage

When the TSA says passengers can't bring liquids on board commercial flights, the agency means business. Just ask two passengers aboard a US Airways flight from Charlotte to Little Rock, AR Friday.

The Associated Press reports the two passengers -- and their bottles, filled with clear liquid -- were deemed suspicious by the flight crew while the plane was on approach to land in Little Rock.

When the plane taxied to the gate, the TSA was there -- to greet those passengers and hold them for a few questions.

They also got a look at those suspicious liquids. "It turned out to be water," said airline spokesman Philip Launius.

But that wasn't discovered until later -- after the FBI, Little Rock Police, the bomb squad, and the fire department all responded to the call.

For the record, the TSA continues to ban all liquids -- save for small amounts of baby formula, breast milk, and medical supplies -- from the cabins of commercial airliners. You can carry such items onboard in checked baggage... and TSA agents ARE checking carryon bags for those items (as the group of five travelers ahead of me in a security line at ATL Sunday will attest to -- Ed.)
