Sting S3 Sports New Wheel Fairings

More Aerodynamic Design Increases Performance And Fuel Efficiency

New wheel fairings are now standard equipment for the Sting S3 SLSA. Retrofit kits are available to replace wheel fairings on existing StingSport and Sting S3 aircraft.

The new fairings, which reduce aerodynamic drag by fully enclosing the wheel and brake system, will be on display at the US Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, FL on January 22 through 25.

"The lower drag of these fairings results in better performance and fuel efficiency," said Bill Canino, President of SportairUSA.

The Sting line of aircraft feature a long list of safety equipment -- including the whole plane parachute, collision avoidance, full-time carburetor body heat, inflatable restraints, and wig-wag recognition lights. As ANN reported, the company also recently announced the addition of the Straight/Level system to autopilot-equipped Stings.

"We are dedicated to continuous improvement of the Sting, especially in the areas of safety and performance, to maintain its leadership position in the light sport aviation community," Canino said.
