An interesting bit of history occurred recently as an unmanned vehicle transported a human kidney that was eventually transplanted into a human being. The milestone took place last week, as the organ was delivered to a hospital via a drone and subsequently transplanted into a University of Maryland Medical Center patient -- apparently, the first time such an event has occurred.
