Aireon has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS), Saudi Arabia's Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP). SANS is managing one of the largest and busiest airspaces in the Middle East, and through this MoU, SANS will develop and analyze a concept of operations for space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) as an additional layer of surveillance. A small gold replica of the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) that carried Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to their historic first moon landing has been stolen from the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. The model is about 5 inches high and 4.5 inches square. It was one of three made by Cartier to be given to each of the astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission.
