NTSB Releases Interim Factual Report On JAL 787 Battery Fire Investigation

Announces Forum And Investigative Hearing

The National Transportation Safety Board has released an interim factual report and 499 pages of related documents in its ongoing investigation of the Japan Airlines 787 battery fire in Boston. Additionally, NTSB Chairman Deborah A.P. Hersman announced today (Thursday) that the NTSB will be holding both a forum and a hearing in April to provide additional information to advance the investigation.

In its 15th Turbine-Powered Civil Helicopter Purchase Outlook report, Honeywell expects that global deliveries of new civilian-use helicopters will increase to between 4,900 to 5,600 over the five-year period 2013–2017. The forecast shows improved purchase plans for new helicopters in every region of the world. North American buying plans increased for the first time in half a decade, and Latin America posted the highest regional level of five-year fleet replacement and expansion at 34 percent.
