Boeing Business Jets has announced the delivery of a BBJ to Nanshan Jet of Yantai, China, rounding out a 'strong year' of orders and deliveries to Chinese customers. Representatives of Nanshan Jet took delivery of the airplane at the Boeing Delivery Center in Seattle. This is the first BBJ for Nanshan Jet and one of the first aircraft the company will operate on its own.

First Of Six Aircraft Under Government Contract

A ceremony was held in Bucharest Friday for the delivery of an EC135 helicopter to Romania's Ministry of Health by Eurocopter Romania. The ceremony was attended by the Romanian Minister of Health Ladislau Ritli, the Secretary of State in the Romanian Ministry of Administration and Interior Mihai Capra, His Excellence Henri Paul from the French Embassy in Romania, His Excellence Andreas Von Mettenheim from the German Embassy in Romania, as well as by Jean-Louis Mascle, CEO of Eurocopter Romania and Xavier Poupardin, Eurocopter Vice President for the EC135 program.

Approved As A Level 6 Flight Simulation Training Device

The FAA has granted Level 6 certification for the first AW139 flight simulation training device (FSTD) to be operate by Era Training Center (ETC). This certification will allow helicopter operators to conduct AW139 training in ETC's device under CFR Part 61 or train in the FSTD with their own instructors.

New Advisory Circular Finds Lessons In Colgan 3407 Crash

The FAA has come up with draft recommendations to address the issue of airliners entering aerodynamic stalls, partially in response to the Colgan Air crash near Buffalo, NY that claimed 50 lives in 2009.The Wall Street Journal reports that the proposed advisory circular spells out recovery standards for pilots, training instructors, simulator providers and other segments of commercial aviation.

Airplane Is 1st To Be Modified By Korea Aerospace Industries

The Boeing Company delivered the second Peace Eye 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft to the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) Tuesday. The aircraft was delivered to ROKAF Base Gimhae, the main operating base for the Peace Eye fleet. Peace Eye No. 2 is the first aircraft in the fleet to be modified into an AEW&C configuration by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) at its facility in Sacheon.
