Contracts Worth $350M 'Already Secured'

Medrar Financial Group and Diamond Aircraft Holdings have announced that an agreement has been signed for the acquisition of a majority interest of Diamond Aircraft Holdings, Canada. In addition to a range of Diamond Aircraft's gasoline powered piston aircrafts, the agreement also includes the D-JET program.

AeroMexico is flying daily passenger service on its Mexico City to San Jose, Costa Rica route using Green Jet Fuel, a trademarked brand produced using process technology from Honeywell's UOP. The airline says it is one of the first uses of renewable fuels in everyday airplane passenger service.

Buyer Provides Offshore Transport Services Worldwide

AgustaWestland announced Thursday that Bristow Group Inc. has signed a contract for six AW189 helicopters, plus options for additional aircraft. The helicopters will support offshore transport missions. The contract marks a further expansion of the fleet of AgustaWestland helicopters operated by Bristow, which already has AW139s operating globally.

American Airlines announced Wednesday it has entered into a sale-leaseback arrangement with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a leading international leasing organization and wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, to finance 15 previously-ordered Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, two of which have been delivered and the remainder of which are scheduled to be delivered to American in 2012.

Emirates Order Is The Single Largest Airplane Order In Boeing History

After having to take a back seat to large-order announcements by the competition in the last few major trade-show outings, it seems that the tide is turning for Boeing. Boeing and Emirates have confirmed an order for 50 Boeing 777-300ERs (Extended Range) plus options for an additional 20 jetliners. The deal also includes a 12-year GE OnPoint solution agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GE90-115B equipped aircraft. The engine order list price and service agreement is valued at approximately $6 billion (USD) over the life of the contract.
