Bandit II Gyroplane Accident Claims 2

William F. "Bill" Wilson, 59, owner and operator of Sport Gyro Aviation at the Rancho Murieta Airport near Sacramento (CA), and John P. Brady, 64, identified in local reports as "a pilot from Clear Lake," were killed Wednesday as Wilson's Bandit II gyroplane went in, on a ranch next to the airport.

There are no witness reports available, but emergency respondents called the noontime accident "a very hard crash." Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilson, flying under an ASC waiver, was reputed to have been a very careful, highly-respected instructor.
