European Pilots Can Now Upgrade Their Ratings For The First Time Since 2014
EASA has Certified NTPS as the first Part-ORA Approved Training Organization (ATO) for Part-FCL Flight Test Training. This means that NTPS is the first (and for the current time the only) Test Pilot School in the world to be certified to provide Flight Test Training as an ATO for EASA Member State Test Pilot Ratings.
Pilots now have a viable path towards getting or upgrading their test pilot ratings in Europe for the first time since the EASA regulations went into effect in 2014.
"This is a great milestone for NTPS, our customers, and test pilots in Europe and around the world," said NTPS President and CEO Dr. Allen L. Peterson. "Since our training has been independently evaluated and certified by one of the world’s premiere aviation organizations, the students and customers can rest assured that the quality and standardization of NTPS training is completely verified not just fancy websites or exaggerated marketing claims.”
Peterson went on to praise the NTPS team. “This certification is the culmination of several years of extremely hard work by a great number of people at both NTPS and EASA and I’m very proud of the team," he said. "Adding the EASA certification to our existing academic accreditations, our selection as the flight test training provider for the FAA, and our test pilot school recognition by SETP further proves what we at NTPS have been saying for years; that our program and our graduates are on par with the best in the world.”
An innovative leader in total flight test training and research, the National Test Pilot School has been serving the world-wide flight test community since 1981 and has trained thousands of Test Pilots and Flight Test Engineers through its diverse course offerings.
