Victims Identified In Tulsa Mishap

Couple Was Minding Young Granddaughter During Parents' Vacation

Richard and Debbie Dunham loved to travel in their Cessna 210 and they wanted their 15-month old granddaughter, Abby, to love it as well. Instead, all three were lost when the aircraft went down shortly after departing Tulsa's Riverside-Jones Airport (OK) Tuesday.

Investigators say Richard radioed the tower at RVS shortly after taking off, saying he'd heard a loud "pop" and was losing oil pressure. The aircraft went down in a sparsely-populated neighborhood near the airport as Dunham was trying to get back to the runway.

"It was a big shock!" said Doug Phillips in an interview with KOTV Television. He lives next door to where Richard and Debbie Dunham shared a home for more than 20 years. Phillips said the Dunhams were active church members and were always busy with their three adult boys, their families and their grandchildren. "We saw them on Monday they were walking with their grandchild through the neighborhood taking her for a walk in the stroller."
