Cessna Aircraft Company has announced that Garmin International has been chosen to supply the Citation Mustang's avionics. The G1000, Garmin's all-new, integrated glass cockpit, will provide Citation Mustang operators with the best combination of technical capability, field reliability, and customer support. The panel configuration will include three glass displays, two 10-inch PFDs, with a 15-inch MFD at the heart of the panel.

The G1000 will be on display this summer at the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture 2003 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Additional information and specifications will be available at that time. Because many of our customers are stepping up to the Mustang from single engine and turboprop airplanes, it's essential that the system be easy to use. Garmin’s all-glass flightdeck in the Mustang will be an impressive sight, but they say it’s what is behind the beautiful displays that really sets the G1000 apart from other avionics systems. All information — from aircraft attitude and air data to engine instrumentation, real-time weather data link, traffic and terrain — is uniquely integrated and digitally depicted on the dual large-format PFDs and MFD to simplify operation, enhance situational awareness and increase flight safety.
