Expansive Campus Ramping Up Work on Phenom, Praetor Series Aircraft
Embraer has begun hiring more than 150 additional employees for its Melbourne, Florida facility.
The company is searching for additional assembly technicians, A&Ps, aircraft painters, quality inspectors, and manufacturing engineers. Embraer's Florida location is on the rise, seeing more business as the headquarters for the Executive Jets unit. The facility is home to the assembly line for the Phenom 100EV and 300E, as well as final assembly of the Praetor 500 and 600 series. The 67-acre campus includes their global customer service center and engineering.
Florida's star is on the rise, with the boom in commercial space technology along the coast, and increasing emigration brought about by the state's business-friendly climate. Embraer is on track to keep increasing output, delivering record numbers in 4th quarter 2021 while the Phenom 300 dominated the light jet market for the 10th year in a row.
Darrel Stern, Head of Talent Acquisition, said that the sunny location is perfect for their business. “Embraer chose the Space Coast due to the area’s highly-skilled workforce and because of this, we are lucky to work with extremely talented individuals each day. Our company is growing at a remarkable pace and we are now looking to expand our talent search—not only in Brevard, but throughout the entire state,” said Stern. "As we experience this growth, this is an opportunity to work for a company that is passionate about stretching the boundaries of what is possible and integrates different cultures into a global environment.”
A recruiting event will be held with CareerSource Brevard County on April 21, in Rockledge Florida as a part of the hiring push. Candidates are encouraged to attend with their resume in hand if they want to join the Embraer fold.
