Air Touring, GmbH Designated As Distributor For Planemaker

Mooney Airplane Company and Air Touring, GmbH signed an agreement recently, designating the German firm as sales representatives for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.  Air Touring, GmbH is an affiliate of Air Touring Group located at Biggin Hill in the United Kingdom.

Air Touring, Ltd. was named Mooney's representative for the UK and Ireland in April. Mooney and Air Touring have subsequently demonstrated the Acclaim Type S, at Aero Expo UK at High Wycombe, the Farnborough Air Show, and, most recently, at Tannkosh, an annual general aviation fly-in in Tannheim, Germany.

"The Air Touring Group is pleased once more to extend its Mooney aircraft sales network to include the territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, through the signing of an exclusive sales distribution agreement with the Mooney Aircraft Co. for the countries named above," said Bernard Cheong, Managing Director of Air Touring, GmbH. "Together with the UK and Ireland, we are now well placed to provide an integrated solution to Mooney aircraft sales for all the territories under our exclusive distribution agreements with Mooney. We hope that this will translate to better customer satisfaction and to better support for all Mooney owners, present and future, in these countries," he added.

"We're pleased to add Air Touring, GmbH to the Mooney family, representing us in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Germany is home to the largest Mooney owners' organization outside of the US We have already had significant success working with Air Touring, Ltd. In the U.K. and are looking forward to continuing and expanding our presence in the European market. It remains a strong market for single engine aircraft," said Susan Harrison, Mooney's manager of international sales.

Air Touring is a leading distributor of general aviation aircraft in the UK and Europe, specializing in piston, turboprop and jet aircraft for personal and business transportation. Through its UK and German affiliates, it offers a single point of contact for sales of new and pre-owned aircraft, scheduled maintenance, repair service, avionics upgrades and installation, spare parts, and technical assistance.
