Will Provide Entitlement Training For Customers Purchasing New Beechcraft King Air Models With Fusion
Textron subsidiary TRU Simulation + Training will provide entitlement training for Textron Aviation Inc. customers who purchase new production Beechcraft King Air 250, 350i/ER and C90GTx turboprops equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics system. Entitlement training for the models can include a combination of differences, initial type-rating and recurrent training for pilots and maintenance training for aircraft technicians. TRU will provide the entitlement training in two distinct venues designed specifically for the customer group.
For pilots, training will be offered in TRU’s new ProFlight training facility located near Tampa, Florida. Currently, ProFlight operates a Part 142 certified pilot training center in Carlsbad, California. The new Tampa facility is expected to receive both U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification as a Part 142 satellite training center and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification as an Aircraft Training Organization (ATO). ProFlight instruction is delivered by current pilots who utilize a diverse mix of courseware—printed materials; computer-based desktop trainers; a Level D FFS full motion simulator; a proprietary, Level 6 NextGen Flight Training Device; and the Rockwell Collins virtual avionics trainer—and who bring their relevant flight experience into the classroom.
For aircraft maintenance technicians, training will be offered in TRU Simulation + Training’s newly renovated space located on the Textron Aviation Mid-Continent campus in Wichita, Kansas. The maintenance training facility will feature modern-equipped classrooms and adjacent climate-controlled hangar bays. TRU maintenance courses will include a mix of classroom and practical training on aircraft and training devices. Courseware will feature 3D modeling of the aircraft and its systems—including the Pro Line Fusion avionics system for the new production King Air models.
Stated Diane Giuliani, Senior Vice President and General Manager of TRU’s Training Centers & Services division, “We are pleased to be chosen as the pilot and maintenance training provider for the new Fusion-equipped King Air turboprops. Our new state-of-the-art facility and knowledgeable instructors set the bar for how we deliver value to King Air owners, operators and technicians.” In addition to training for the new production King Air turboprops, future plans for the TRU Simulation + Training owned facilities include providing pilot and maintenance training for Cessna aircraft models.
